Yes, iirc the Pi built-in wi-fi does not support ch13.

BINGO!!
Just found it myself but the channel was exactly the issue. I used to
have ch13 - it worked with all other devices but after switching to 1 or
10 the SIID finally appeared! :cool:

only show 5ghz ssid with 2.4ghz ssid invisible to the device.

Are you sure that the 2.4 is on a valid channel? Try for rest ch6

Hi Jeff. I know all the parameters, most off them I can make my own
choice. It's just that I don't have access to the router and I have to
deal with the proxy. I do have thorough knowledge of networks 😉
Just having a problem to implement that knowledge into a core Linux
environment.
