Did anyone find a solution to this?
I just set up a 3B+ running PCP and the Spotty plugin, wired to router
with gigabit, but find Spotty just as slow as others have described in
this thread...

Thanks for your reply. It's an older RPi using the analog out to a
portable speaker so I'll probably just leave it as is.

3.22 cannot be directly upgraded, you will need to go to 3.5, then to
4.0, then to 4.1
Prior to 4.0.0 everything is hosted on sourceforge which is now static
content. But if 3.22 is working, you can stick with it as long as you
wish.
You can read about the feature additions/changes in the news
That worked! Thank you :)

Hi Jeff
Thanks for your quick response, rebooted piCorePlayer from the web
interface and it fixed Jivelite.
It's been running for many days (maybe a month), and this is the first
time it hangs - no big problem.

Hi there
Jivelite froze at about 17:25 today. The clock is showing, but doesn't
move, and the touch screen doesn't respond. Squeezelite is running fine
and I'm playing music (and restarting Squeezelite doesn't change
anything).
Is there a way to restart Jivelite (would that imply SSH'ing into t

I've rolled the recent changes into a couple of alpha03 images - one
internal and one external (USB). They're in their own folder at
www.cjh.me.uk/joggler/alpha03.
Changes versus alpha02 are:
- Zero brightness Blank Screen screensaver, and 0% option in backlight
settings.
- PiGridSkin now inclu
Thanks Paul, I'll have a read. In the first instance I think sound
effects without volume control, i.e. at whatever volume the default
device is set to, will be a good start.

aplay does not (I think) provide a way for you to change the volume when
you issue the command.
In theory I suppose you could issue other ALSA commands
