Ok I'm up and running on pi. Haven't looked at making it start up with
sound, but got music when manually starting it. Currently only working
playing internet radio, but that might be because it's still scanning
for files. The biggest issue I had with pi was mapping my kubuntu
fileserver through

Ok, after much time troubleshooting, I have isolated the issue to the
firewall (UFW) on the Ubuntu server.
The ports are configured to allow bidirectional 9000 and 9000 (V6) as
well as the same for 9090. The symptoms are as follows:

Installed LMS added fip as a favourite
Installed Ralphy's Squeezelite
Used Gerrelt's scripts (changing the name in two places)
Filled in the squeezelite_setting
I'm gonna borrow a pi from work and see how that goes. If it works well
