I noticed bluetoothd throwing some errors in syslog related to uinput, a
module which wasn't loaded, so I added it to /etc/modules. This was
fortunate as soon after I realized I could use inotifywait to watch for
event devices created by uinput when a bluetooth device connects to the
system.

Please update your bluetooth extensions.. Version 0012 pushed.
When squeezelite started, there is a 5 second delay before checking for
connection to LMS. Apparently, that is not always long enough. There
was supposed to be a retry loop on LMS connectionsit was broken. I
fixed the loop.
That looks as expected, I need to figure out why the local LMS is not
getting found.

pCP requires a music server application to drive it.
You could install LMS from the pCP menu to be that server - but it does
not auto-play a USB stick on insertion (or even index it).
So pCP/LMS is probably not what you need if that is all that you want to
achieve.
However, there you could do s

I've searched the last 2 weeks for Audio Players for my Raspberry Pi,
but yet haven't found one that fits my purpose.
In theory its really simple:
My hardware includes a Pi (2 or 3) and a cheap amplifier plus speakers,
there is no need for a good hifi experience.
I just want an offline pl

As I said, I've tried twice and can't install it. Isn't there a Windows
installer somewhere, that doesn't insist you have a Microsof account on
a specific device? In any case I'd prefer to install squeezelite on my

I assume you mean the first post on the Squeezelite-X thread? No? If
yes, I spent quite a while earlier today (I'm in Europe) jumping through
hoops to try to download it, and was never able to.

In your case install Squeezelite (or try Squeezelite X) on your PC.

Hello, and please forgive me for not wanting to read through all 359

I installed Local Player via the LMS Web interface on my PC, which is
what I use to control LMS. But LMS itself is in fact installed on a

Thank you to the team for producing this software, I'm really happy with
it (mostly) I've got one problem which I will post details about below.

Good that it is available now. The update also allows installation on

Did the update yesterday but wasn't sure when it would appear in the 3rd
party listing.
FYI, I noticed that in the mean time bpa has updated his PlayWMA plugin

The updated plugin comes with an updated custom-convert.conf file that
defines that ffmpeg is used for server side transcoding of WMA files to
