It's often a requirement when using a USB headphone dac as a line out
source.
I have an iFi Audio Nano which needs the volume knob to be turned to
full output.
Good work with the UTube stuff, bad luck with

I have recently upgraded my DAC from Topping D90 to a Gustard x26 Pro.
I am running v8.0 on an underclocked 8GB RPI4 with a PI2AES providing
outputs via coax, optical, AES and IIS. All sound great but after a
while the sound cuts and the Gustard appears to lose lock. This can be

Hello just a little something i'm not sure if it was there before in
older versions of Picoreplayer but if i don't set volume to max within

To be honest, I don't know for sure why it wants to restart it. Looking
at the script comments, it seems the script first sets the Bluetooth Low
Energy address, then restarts Bluetooth (maybe setting the address using
hcitool needs a reset?), before setting the advertisement.
I'm updating a
To OP ... have you tried removing that bit of code to see what happens?
Code:
def run_hci_cmd(cmd, hci="hci0", wait=1):
cmd_ = ["hcitool", "-i", hci, "cmd"]
cmd_ += cmd
print(cmd_)
subprocess.run(cmd_)
if wait > 0:
time.sleep(wait)
def
Restarting Bluetooth under pCP is not as low level as on raspiOS. I do
not reset the serial port.
I did not read that far, but why does this script need to restart
Bluetooth?

You can run any program you want. The user commands section near the
bottom of the tweaks page is the easiest.

The kernel dump in dmesg is a problem. Im not sure how popular this
card is. Its never came up as a subject with pCP.
Need to check in the latest raspiOS
.. if it crashes there, the an
issue will need to be reported.

Just had another thought:
Does pCP report Squeezelite as running ?
If so, have you checked the Alsamixer for output volume levels ?

If this was my problem I would first try another OS to confirm if the
card was working.
If you are happy with trying this route, and with the command line, I
suggest you download the Raspberry PI OS Buster Lite image
This is a headless OS, so you need to connect by SSH (if you use
