Yes but I still have the cursor present, so the screen needs a double

It's not a proper set-up, just a "proof of concept thing" really.

Thanks, and I'm sorry for the run around :)
It would appear that the board is faulty :(
piCorePlayer loads the correct overlay and does not recognise the board
hifiberry OS does not recognise the board
raspberry pi OS loads the correct overlay and does not recognise the
board
OK
There has been some cross posting :)
Please change the overlay to
Code:
dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi-pro
Save, exit and reboot
then see if the board is connected

I have no real idea of how to solve this conundrum:confused:, but that
won't stop me making some suggestions :):p
In any order:
Change the Ethernet cable / try using wireless on the pi
Download a fresh image and burn it again
Make a cron job to restart the pi (or LMS) periodically
Connect
Which version of LMS are you trying to update, surely not the one in
your signature

I played with Ubuntu for raspberry pi earlier in the year, are you

It does not have a great deal of support. I thought PulseAudio is a

Hi Sean
Wait until Paul is up and had a few coffees :), see what he suggests.
In the meantime; maybe try the hifiberry OS and see if that works.
Then contact HiFIBerry again, there are quite a few complaints against
that board on their forum, most of them unanswered .
At least you
@SEAN
You can also check the board with another OS
HiFiberry OS auto-configures and has a squeezelite player
Max2Play will also configure and has squeezelite (it is not a
requirement to have a licence).
I have just tested this on my old digi-pro; select hifiberry on the m2p
front page,
SEAN@
Also, do you have the red light on the optical output ?

If you have a zero then you need a header,
