feeling at home often outweighs the small speed
benefits.
If you use an older system, you might want to check if it will still
run (or has an alternative build) for older machinery. I seem to
remember there were some Linux variants that require a minimum 586 type
system.

Would this mean SC (dev version) wouldnt work with Perl 5.10 on
