Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] squeezeplay cannot find server (iptables)

Well, I've figured out two things. cdmackay is correct, allowing udp traffic on those ports serves no purpose, and if I delete reject-with icmp-host-prohibited on the INPUT chain things start working. I cannot, unfortunately, get ulogd to produce any output. I am quite sure it is user error. The

Ok, I give up. What is stopping squeezeplay from connecting to the server running on the same network: Code: Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination ACCEPT all -- 0.0.0.0/00.0.0.0/0cts

It sounds like we have very similar set-ups. I am using kvm with libvirt on an F18 host with both virtio hdd and bridged networking. I did a minimal centos install so no xwindows/gui. Just finished resizing the VM image (a bit of a pain!) so the swap partition is only 768MB, and the root partitio

[SlimDevices: Unix] VM configuration for LMS

2012-09-24 Thread skibler
Since installing LMS in newer distro's is becoming more of a pain, I have created a simple CentOS VM to host LMS 7.7. Without much thought I gave it 768MB ram and a single core of an Intel Q6600 and it runs great. The swap partition in the guest is 1.5GB, and I imagine I could probably shrink that

Has anyone made squeezeplay work with pulseaudio? Squeezeplay outputs audio fine, but it is hijacking the audio device for itself. Using padsp doesn't seem to make any difference. skibler's Profile: http://forums.slimdevic

Just wanted to say that the version in the first post works great for me in Fedora 17 x64. I had to specify the correct device in the DesktopJive.lua file before there was any audio output. I threw together a simple desktop file so gnome has a launcher for it: Code: [

I do not have heavy CPU usage, if that is what you are asking? This computer is just my home desktop, running Fedora 17. Squeezebox server is the only full time daemon on here that isn't a default part of an F17 install. I have a Squeezebox v3/squeezebox classic and also I listen to music on the
