Michael
I checked the permissions and the file was hidden.
I then deleted the offending file with rm through the FreeNAS command
line, and then rmdir'd the DBI directory.
I have repeated this for all offending instances, all are now gone.
Thanks very much for your assistance.

Hi Michael
I finally got at the required folder. There is a file contained within
the folder called DBI.so.
Do I just remove this and delete the directory ?. It's strange Windows
cannot see this through Samba, even when asking to show hidden or
system files.

As it's a FreeNAS setup I have limited access to the underlying unix
system.
Any help would be appreciated

AlienBBC feeds working on the squeezebox for the first time
ever.
It was such a simple omission that caused all the hassle.
Thanks to all who offered help.
