to the /softsqueeze folder, then looked for the "preferences" tab you

finally got SqueezeCenter to play through my Amarok player . . .

I tried with Winamp and MediaMonkey to use the
http://server:9000/stream.mp3 method. From Winamp I simply got a file
download dialog box that never ended. in MediaMonkey, I got a "Welcome
to SqueezeCenter" dialog in the player, and the timer was incrementing
as if it was playing something, but not
I couldnt get 7.3 to work on Ubuntu 8.04LTS. Gave up and installed 7.2.1
- this worked fine. Havent tried 7.3.1 though. Happy with 7.2.1 for my
SB3.

Ok, so I tried various .mp3 players but nothing works. I still can't get
any songs to list in the right window of the Squeezecenter software ...
so when I attempt to get the .mp3 player - such as Amarok - to play
using the link http://192.168.0.103:9000/mp3.stream there are no
songs listed in
You can also connect a media player (winamp) to
http://server:9000/stream.mp3 and then control it from the web
interface to the server.

Squeezecenter is just a server, it can't play anything itself. If you
want to use software players, you have three choices that I'm aware of
