No one answered your question. I have noticed there are differences in the way you ping an address when on windows or when on mac or unix. Livencode has a nice hostAddressToName("127.0.0.1") and hostNameToAddress(*domainName, [callback]*) Write something to ping it first before connecting too.

And now for something very easy. I have two fields (area code and telephone number). I'd like for the first field (area code) to allow three numbers to be entered and then if a fourth number is entered automatically go to the telephone number field and continue adding the rest of the number there.

I'm trying to track an occasional freeze crash of LiveCode. It happens when I shut-down the stack after closing the Valentina database connection. I have code that checks to see if the database is already shut down and my error message comes up saying: "database already closed" and then it freezes
