The first times I used Revolution, the beep worked perfectly on my Ibook with OSX 10.3.2. Some months ago I noticed that Revolution's beep was silent and Itunes too. As I found the beep useful in my attempts to debug my stacks, I came back to my old Ibook with OSX 10.2 . After some weeks

Hi All, FWIW [virtually nothing, since the product is now discontinued], there is an alternative that was consistently rated 4 to 5 times faster than VPC: SoftWindows. Whereas VPC emulates the entire Intel instruction set, SoftWindows translates some instructions directly to Mac OS calls.

Thanks to you all for your input. I solved the problem. It turns out that the JPG image was corrupted in some way. I re-created the JPG and re-imported it. The problem went away when I did that. Seems strange to me that it ran differently from the CD than from the hard drive...? Go figure.

This sounds like your popup menu is grabbing the focus from the field. What happens if you set the traversalOn (is that the right property name) to false for that menu button? So I just tried now and with the mousedown handler moved from the text field to the stack the handler opens the popup
