Richard, I had a problem like this with a huge jpeg file. I tracked it down to a file that was converted from a PICT file. I got a copy of the original jpeg and it worked fine. I figured that it must have lost something in the conversion from jpeg to pict to jpeg. Hope this helps, Glenn Glen
