Jobs are not listed under Jobs Tab

Hi All: I have the latest version of Ambari, running Hadoop 2.4 on a cluster of 7 nodes. The Jobs tab lists no jobs at all, not sure if there is anything I need to configure or fix. There are no filters. The url for the jobs tab is http://192.168.xx.xxx:8080/#/main/jobs On the other hand, under

Hive came from Facebook, Hadoop came from Yahoo, I don't see any dependencies on any vendor specific projects/products. I guess amabari started as Apache project, but it's forcing users to use some rpms specific to a vendor and forcing the user to delete the rpms from some other vendor,it's

You can define your own stack. I believe bigtop is already trying that out with https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-1407 HDP is one such stack that is working now. Nobody is preventing anyone here to add their own stacks. Why even stop at hadoop stacks? You could define your own stack to

Hello, The Jobs tab in Ambari-1.6.1 shows only Hive queries which are run with Tez engine. This is because in latest Hadoop versions, MapReduce has been transformed into YARN and Tez. To see Hive jobs in there, set the Hive execution engine to 'tez' (from 'mr'), and then run some Hive queries.
