I've inactivated a product in the product_category_member table by setting the
thru date to something before the current date. The product is not showing up
in the catalog through browsing. But the product is still showing up in a
search and can be added to the shopping cart. Is there
Better way is to setup special search category. Add all your you want to
be searched in this category. If you want to exclude a product from
search result, just remove it from this category.
