When i install Hive Ranger plugin I am getting FileNotFound exception
whenever the plugin is activated.
I am already using HDFS ranger plugin and it works well although it may use
the same code (The plugin also extends RangerBasePlugin).

2. Seems like the HDP is 2.3. Is this a fresh installation OR is it an

Our system is updated from 2.1 to 2.3. We haven't used Ranger before (in
version 2.1)
(We are going to do minor update soon - from 2.3.0 to 2.3.2)

Do you have policy that allows WRITE access for column=* (or the column the
user is trying put – in your example ‘column=age’)?
If these are in place, can you provide all the fields of the audit log that
show deny? Including username, resource, etc.

Thanks for the info. However it seems you missed the -l flag in the ls
listing. The aim is to see if the file exists in the directory and that it
has enough permissions to be opened. Can you please send across that info?
Also, starting with HDP 2.3, Ranger reads ranger-{service_name
