Hello everyone,
I used Ubuntu 14.04 image on XS 6.0.2+HF and CS 4.3.* from Osay’s image dump:
http://dl.openvm.eu/cloudstack/
It works, but the problem is, that I get not console/tty/login prompt when
using CS/Xenservers console access.
I just see the last boot script action.
I can use the VM
Already found the sollution.
Added this to /etc/init/hvc0.conf

Live migration across primary storages is not supported by cloudstack.
If you enable maintenance mode of primary all the Vms using it will be stooped.

I am studying the logging process used by CloudStack and came accross
the configuration file that is used by Log4j. What is confusing to me is
that all the resources is stating that the "log4j-cloud.xml" is
supposed to be the file used to confiugre the logging, but what I have
noticed is that
Hello,
Important thing is for every action (creation/deletion/snapshot etc etc),
there will be job ID. If you start tracking from job ID (job-2566 in your
current case), you will get picture of what happened during process and
where it failed exactly.
Just check logs around

Hi,
I did some tests today and the deployment of a VM to the shared storage
fails with the following error:
2015-12-07 13:31:42,702 WARN [c.c.h.v.r.VmwareResource]

Hey Amir, this should be doable behind the scenes with vCenter. It will
involve live storage migration, then massaging the cloudstack db (volumes
table pool_id and folder references). If snapshots are involved, its a bit
more involved.

Yes it is XEN PV image. Works now just fine. If you make this image, please add
that file, so console will work on XenServer in PV mode.
I have manually removed all the cloud init scripts as well as unneded software
(for vmWare, etc..)
I have left only the password script.
There is also a
Hi Guys,
after battling with cloudstack (4.3.2+) for the whole day with another issue
(unable to create snapshot’s for one VM, which I also failed to fix) I ran into
message on XenServer 6.0.2+Hotfixes SMlog (copy pasted at the bottom).
Even thou i kinda understand XenServers relations of VM
France,
Is that XEN PV you're running? May explain the issue.
Do note the Ubuntu image is the one they provide upstream for Openstack (with
cloudstack cloud-init conf).
(same for Debian)
Perhaps I should start building a more custom one, though have not heard any
complaints/suggestions.

Hello again,
Thanks a lot @Makrand, it was really useful to approach a Little bit more the
error in the log. However, I cannot replicate the error in order to know where
my error comes from.
This is some test I made following your reply..
- Checked the properties of KVM libvert
Hi,
Thanks, as I found in older documents if I enable maintenance mode ol Primary
Storage then CS will try to move all storages to another Primary Storage with
same tag. Has anyone tried that?
