Hi Larry,
As you might already know, this has nothing to do with CloudStack itself, and I
would advice actually reading the system logs to understand why the basic
service failed to start.

Hi,
please test with smaller values, to confirm that the outside server can
handle it - 500 and 1000 Mbps might be just too muc (test with 10-50 range,
to make sense)
For KVM, if nothing has changed recently, the way it worked was following:
VM will inherit network rate from the compute offering

Fariborz, It's just because native CloudStack UI lacks of this
functionality. You can easily change thru API or CloudMonkey or our
CloudStack-UI, which handles that easily.

Check the user account permissions. If no VMs use the custom offering and
db update is ok, try to update the offering details in db and stop & start

I have 4 1Gbps NICs in each compute node and was considering 2 deployment
options (Advanced network with Security Groups) -
1) 2 NICs bonded together and used for all storage and management and the
other 2 NIC bonded together and used for guest VM traffic.
2) 1 NIC or management and primary
Forgot to mention. The VM which is on a customized compute offering. Also
change service offering feature does not list available computer offerings.
Thanks

Hello,
Cloudstack UI does not allow editing number of cores and cpu speed of a VM,
Is it technically possible to modify cpu setings without redeploying from
template?
Updated vlan and user_ip_address tables

Thanks for the update. I assume you have updated guest vlan range at *vnet*
in cloud.physical_network table. Right?
My last email (below) has the steps to update the management IP range.

Hi Fariborz, Can you provide additional details - Any guest VMs, networks

When guest IPs are not allocated, try adding the new guest IP range at
Infrastructure -> Zone -> Physical network -> Management -> IP Ranges and
delete the old range. You can
Hello
I have a web server on the management server and a qcow2 format volume.
When request cloudstack to download the volume, it keeps it in

storage. I've checked SSVM and secondary storage mount point, free disk

Hi Sergei,
Check the global config parameter "vmware.use.dvswitch", set this to false.
When you enable this config, CloudStack would look for dvSwitch with name
defaulted to "dvSwitch0".

Hi Fariborz,
what Hypervisor are you using? I tested the network limits for
XenServer some months ago and think to remember, that I learned there
are differences how upload and download rates are realized.
If you are interested, I could look into it once again and share my
findings with you.
