Thanks Thomas, I will check on that.
Andrija, my supervisor and I had previously ’tested’ the upgrade to 4.11, and
we decided we wanted to do it again, so we restored the 4.9 db and software. I
don’t recall if we tore down all resources prior to this downgrade or not. Your
point is well taken,
Hi Jerry,
I think this is because of the way a VM is tied to its root disk, and how a
root disk is chained to its template.
VMs created from ISO do not have such a chain.
Technically, it shouldn't be an issue to swap out the root disk entirely,
though...

Gregor
that's not the best thing to happen, true - please send to dev@ list
(and don't allow people looking at your screen :) )

Greg,
what does it mean "***Recently***, we downgraded back to 4.9.3 to re-run
the processes" - have you created a lot of new resources with the upgraded
env (4.11 code) and then restored the DB to 4.9.3 ? If so, you need to
delete ALL (I mean all) resources you might have created - any VMs, VRs,
(and assuming you are using SSL/443 - that's not a problem in that sense)

Password IS sent in the clear text when you log in initially - you can
check that via developer tools while doing a successful login.

Are you using port 80 instead for 443 for the console login?

Hello,
When I have failed logon (cloudstack is unable to read from database) the
redirected url shows the password hash
/client/?username=admin=MASKMASKMASKMASK==
Is this an issue?
Thanks
Adam
