If you have assigned a certificate then it will be 443, otherwise it is
going over port 80.

Quick question to the group today. When I create a VM in ACS using VMware as
the hypervisor it creates machines with the e1000 adapter. Where can I change
this setting to use the vmxnet3 as the default NIC type.

All,
I am running into issues where I export a VM with multiple disks as an OVA
file. I then register it is a template which completes successfully, however
when I start it the OS fails to boot complaining about missing drives. Can
anyone shed some light on this issue please?
Sounds good,
In the meantime I have commented out the "if" statement that checks versions.

You could create a different domain for each department, or you could
create separate projects for every department. I would think projects
would be easier in terms of user management if you have lateral movement
between those groups.

Also if someone could give me some guidance or at least a hint on this I am

So I have a quick question for the group. It appears that if I install the OSS
version it communicates with VMware 5.5. So the question I have is am I missing
anything by not adding the recommended JAR file and building from source?

it currently fails on CloudPlatform 4.3.1 which from my understanding is

I have ACS 4.3 installed pointing at VMware running Nexus 1000v. I can create
a zone however when it creates the systemVMs this error message shows up in the

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Not sure about netscaler, but for vmware you need non-oss version.
There are probably someone that could share their builds.

I was curious if you are planning on using Cloudstack in an environment that
runs VMware and Netscalers if you still need to build from source. Also where
can I get the latest files that need to be included in the build for VMware and
Citrix Netscalers. Thanks in advance.
I think the best you can do is place the Juniper in front of the virtual
router and configure a private gateway. Given the architecture I don¹t
see how you could replace the VR without committing to a substantial
development project.

The private gateway is used to allow the termination of MPLS/Metro-E
connections, or some other type of routed network connection into the
customer VPC. Using it for internet access could be accomplished but is
messy and may have little benefit.

So the default load balancing happens on the vRouter by using HAPROXY.
You can configure load balancing rules to VMs but you cannot select the LB
specifically. If you have en external LB you want to use, you must create
another network offering specifying the external load balancer.
On 4/3/14, 4:
So you will not be able to NAT the public IPs to the vRouter. If you do
NAT them it will become a mess for management, not to mention you reduce
the effectiveness of Cloudstack as a cloud management tool. You need to
expose that block to your WAN switch of which the public interface will

I am running ACS 4.3 with Xenserver 6.2 fully patched. When I create a network
offering and specify the bandwidth to be 1Mbps, then create a new network and
VM it doesn’t apply the bandwidth limit. Why is this happening?
