Sounds silly, but have you tried to download the .iso using your desktop

Deepak,
Is the server on an internal network or the public internet?
SSVM, which is responsible for importing the ISO, will try and use its pubic
interface to fetch the ISO, can the SSVM Ping the IP of the HTTP Server?
If the IP is an internal IP, you may need to add it to the global setting wh

We were able to get vmware images running in cloudstack with kvm hypervisor
using qemu-img, but we also had to add the step of going in using a recovery
image to switch all the disk lables from sdx to vdx since that's how they were
being referenced once we switched hypervisors.

Chitra, it would not affect if you have not setup the NFS Storages. So,
if you only want to see what's on the UI, you can do it without
configuring storage or template on the MngSrv, after you have installed
and configured CS you can type http://:8080/client on a browser.

How are the people dealing with Windows Licensing for their user base on non
hyper-v systems? My research is SPLA licensing, but I wanted to see if anyone
else had any insight.
- Dean
You need to go into the user_ip_address table and deallocate the old addresses.
I don't have the database in front of me, but I believe there were several
fields which related to when it was allocated and what vm it was allocated to
which need to be reset.

Windows licensing is per guest, as if they were physical instances. An
enterprise would want to do KMS activations, and just true up with Ms at
the end of the year.

Well if you could tell us what are you planning to accomplish then we can
suggest few things.
Default deployment with no external appliances is sufficient most of the

Yes, SPLA. Just license Datacenter edition and you have an entire physical
host covered and can run as many VM's as you like.

Hi,
If you are using Ubuntu 12.04 (precise), you don't have to compile again
using Maven since the package repo for Precise is already available.

Dear all,

I noted that we can import AMI into CloudStack when using XenServer
hypervisor. Is it possible to do it if we are using KVM hypervisor?
Looking forward to your reply, thank you.
Cheers.
Do you mean that if there is a large traffic flow on the nic,the tcpdump will
show 'dropped packets'?
