John,
can your vms ping each other? You should be able to add the ip adres
of the other vm to your ms.

Hi,
I am having a little trouble understanding how the cloudstack networking model
works, I have read the documentation and enquired on IRC(without response) and
still don't really get it. I suspect if I was able to setup CloudStack and play
with it I would understand, however given that I have

Hi Dan, Ahmed,
Thanks for your response. I can rule out the hypervisor theory as the ms was
migrated to a new node and all hypervisors were reinstalled. I had previously
used phpMyAdmin to check for the paths and have looked through the database

Hi All,
I changed the default system offerings for System VM's. I followed the guide

After restarting the cloud-management service .

Hi Chitra,
Depends what version you are using, but it was a bug in one of the releases -
if you do any upgrades, you might need to change the permissions on one of the
log files:
Try this and see what happens:
chmod 777 /usr/share/cloud/management/logs/catalina.out

One of the most confusing things I've ran into, past the fact the documentation

I'm sure I am not the guy you need for this but I'll keep an eye on

bound to be around on this list or dev.

H Lucian,
It sounds like there is an option missing from your offerings or from
your network layout. Did you setup advanced networking or basic?

How did you change it? Have you restarted the CS management service since
doing so? Try placing the secondary storage in mtc mode. Then remove the
mtc mode - it should rescan the available space.

What one can do is create a disk offering using local storage. Then when

you can definitely have mixed zones, so that shouldn't impact current or
future shared storage deployments. you're correct in your thinking that the
service offering/disk offering is how the storage back-end is defined.
