It is possible to make cocoon use Saxon, which implements xslt 2.0, as it's
underlying xslt processor.

Insert something like the following into a stylesheet:
I've got an authenticating pipeline something like this:
map:match pattern=*
map:act type=auth-protect
map:parameter name=handler value=myhandler/
map:match pattern=protected
map:generate src=resource1.xml/
map:transform src=resource2html.xsl
because the authentication method call returns a
simple boolean and thus hides whatever complexity we may have in the
LDAP setup.

Well, I feel like the xcal draft 2 features will be more than
sufficient for use in cocoon. Thought if there were a draft 3 actually
in active development, I'd naturally agree it's definitely worth
planning for. :)
