If swriter or LibreOffice is not in the list then another route is to open
LibreOffice from the Start button - All Programs - LibreOffice - Writer
Then dragdrop an odt into the open window or use
File - Open
and then save the file again. Something in that seemed to remind Xp that i had

Ok, so when migrating from Access to Base would it be best to first export the
Access tables into a different database program and then get Access to read
those tables?
Would that mean re-writing Access's Reports and Forms that are based on the
tables?

That is NOT what I said.
What I said was, that when connecting to an MS Access file the users
need to be mindful of the fact that queries in the Access file will

Ahhhah. Right. Ok, so it sounds as though i could at least give it a go and
see what it looks like. So far i have been a bit scared of even trying.
So, first step for me is to back-up the Access file and see if i can get Base
working with that. The Access we have at work is a mess

I think it is a good and necesary job for users to know about and take
the best option but with knowledge. And this summary could show how LO

Hi :)
Errr, can you try re-install LibreOffice? Does i offer a Repair option?
During install i seem to remember if you want LO to be the default app that
opens documents that are in the MS format but i can't remember it asking about

I am not sure what antivirus Frank uses but i do remember him mentioning that

I think it's probably worth just saying that OpenOffice develops a lot more

Hi there! I have noticed the difference in the pace of development.

That should make sure the file keeps a single word per line file. Then

Try having a look at a print-preview. The headings do not appear. I think a
