If you can't grab the edge of the window/console then it is probably either
maximised or even full-screened
To full-screen or un-full-screen in *buntu and family just press F11
To unmaximise double-click any empty space on the title-bar. The title-bar is
that strange strip above the menu

This sounds weird. Have you tried renaming your user-profile?
Which OS are you using? Win Xp? Does the same thing happen with other
programs or just Calc? I guess it happens with Writer etc too but i meant can
you check a couple of other programs, maybe Firefox or IE?

Lol, yes tabs would be fantastic. Especially if we could rip them off and drop
the tab to form it's own window/console or add the tab into another instance of
LO. It works with web-browsers. Gedit and file-browsers don't quite do all
that but at least they do have tabs!

Alt Space-bar
and that seemed to work. It took me a while to work it out. I was hunting
around the _ and | and that weird button just before the 1.
