Hi :) Yes, gnumeric is a dedicated specialist spreadsheet tool.  It doesn't have to consider other apps.  It does just one thing and does it very well.  It's only focus is on spreadsheets so it's processes are more streamlined for just that.  So, Gnumeric is better than Calc at quite a few
