Since updating to LO 7.4.0.3 on Win 10 machines my files no longer open
with their last saved window size & position. in every case they open in
a centered 1426 x 752 pixel window on a 1920 x 1080 resolution screen.
Has anyone else noticed this change?

Checked keyboard shortcuts and it shows [ctrl]+F is 'find' for LO but
is blank for Writer.

That blank second page is inserted by LibreWriter for some unknown reason.
After you have generated the business card, press Ctrl P to bring up
the print menu. Select the LibreOffice Writer tab and unselect
"Print automatically inserted blank pages".

It does not work in my LO. (Version 3.4.3, Win 7 64bit) After
creating "in situ" in italics, I opened the AutoCorrect box. "in
situ" does not appear in the 'with' box and the 'Text only' box is
checked, grayed out and can not be changed.

under Tools>Options>LibreOffice>User Data. Only a first name is
sufficient but the form can not be completely blank.
