Kannel's compatibility with new phone models.

Hi list, I need to configure kannel as an SMS gateway but the phones recommended on kannel's website are not available in the market. Can anyone please give me a list of phones that are known to work with kannel and that are available in the market today. I will greatly appreciate. Thanks.

I don't know how kannel is handling this. I'm just using kannel as a dumb SMPP and UCP gateway. I know that on these two protocols the smsc of the receiver stores the message till delivery. I have no idea how this done by kannel for http and modems. But that can someone else here surely tell you.
