Hi I'm an old user of kannel, I've recently run into a problem
Please the problem is still there... anyone know how I go about delaying the
smsbox restart?
preferably I still want to use:
http://localhost:13000/restart?password=bar
to restart kannel
Cheers,
Jarl

I've got a very quick question,
when you restart kannel via a http request, which is the default
configuration file it reads? or is it clever enough to read the one that has
been used previously?

can I do to fix this?
I think I understand the problem, the smsbox tries to restart as well, but

I'm having a problem with the autoreply function at the moment.
I know you can set the auto reply message to anything you like in the kannel
configuration file with something like:
text = auto reply message
however I've removed this totally but I still get a reply back to my phone
when trying
and with POST I'm confused as I get nothing in my
newmsg.txt file
Cheers for any help on how kannel posts stuff,
Jarl

Thank you all for your eariler replies, finally understood most of it and
managed to get a bit further on my kannel
just send the stuff along with
the url like:
#get-url = http://localhost/kannel/jarl.php?from=%pto=%P
and with that I get:
Array
(
[from] = 00123
[to] = 00345
)
in my file.
Cheers for any more help,

Hi Jarlco
Hmm my knowledge is very limited, however the file conf file you attached,
you sure that's the one you're using?
ports etc don't correspond
Then, this is how I'd try it if I were you:
This is the order of the boxes:
gw/bearerbox gw/smskannel.conf
gw/smsbox gw/smskannel.conf
Then you use the
you should read the documentation of the compiling bit...
if you add:
--enable-start-stop-daemon
to the compile you should be ok... so that's:
./configure --enable-start-stop-daemon
make
make install
yes myself I've been looking for the rpm of kannel... there should be one as
the user guide
Last question before I accept I'm stupid and should not be bothering anyone
with more questions
there could have been my fault or version mismatch but as of 1.3.1, there
are 2 variables *dlrurl* and *dlrmask*.
I take it as I'm using kannel-cvs (a week or two old) the above still
applies,
, the script
knows the delivery report status is for which particular record.
Hope this helps,
P.S. I also got a better understanding about dlr after reading Navjot's
post.
Thanks to Navjot.

Rudy

This is rather embarrassing, however after having read all the great replies
and thinking nothing can go wrong now, things still seem a bit odd.
However this is most likely due to some misunderstanding on my side, which
is why I'm going to try to clear this out once and for all.
You might

Thanks a lot for any replies, (a little alone in this converstion)
