Hi Steven,
Yes, that was a problem in older versions. I think that memory was only
considered if CPU was present.
Both CPU and MEMORY are now mandatory, I believe since version 3.6 when we
added the quotas.
So in current versions the hard limit is enforced always, the VM can be
created but it
Hi,
You can upload kernel images in the 'files' datastore [1], and then use
that kernel in your VM template, OS section [2] [3]. Alternatively, you can
use pygrub, setting the path in VM/OS/BOOTLOADER [4].

Hi,
After you purge and reinstall the packages, you need to make sure to delete
the database. It will be /var/lib/one/one.db with the default sqlite
backend, or the database you chose in mysql. But if opennebula 4.4 finds a
4.2 database it won't break anything, it will simply refuse to start up.
Hi Eduardo,
Could you elaborate more on this:
But in the VMware side, they are delivered in read only mode and I
can`t use them.
Not sure what you mean with read only, is it the disk?

Hi,
You can't define recurrent actions, just specific times. You will need to
do it outside of the scheduler, e.g. a cron job.
Maybe in future versions we will add support for cron syntax in the
scheduled actions...

Hi Carlos,
Thanks for your help. I changed the kernel attribute to
/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-194.el5xen.img (kernel of the xen host) in
/etc/one/vmm_exec/vmm_exec_xen3.conf The error got cleared after this.

Hi Eduardo,
All registered vmdks (regardless or whether they are compressed or

The problem you are experiencing is that the prolog is not copying the

Could you check that the following path

That shouldn't be the case. Can you send the permissions ownership

You mean in the opennebula database? I was thinking of a cron job that

Hello Tino,
In the Nebula side, the VM is in the RUNNING state, with no errors in the log.
But in the VMWare side, the VM could not boot properly.

The copy of the image occurs without problems.
The path /volumes/vmfs/ds_id/12/disk.0 exists and the disk file

But when the BOOT will occurrs, the Nebula script is using disk.vmdk

Exactly, the import process should rename it automatically, and fail

Hi,
Did you ever figured out how to “move” VM in case when VM host goes down?
I ran into the same issue last night.
RHEL6 cluster, same OS/KVM version. One of them VM hosts went down (error) and
VMs running on that host were recreated on available hosts.
Recreated VMs lost work progress.

Hi
The host running ONED needs to ssh to all VM hosts using public key
(passwordless).
ONED will use ‘oneadmin’ account to access all VM hosts.
B/c /var/lib/one is shared (using NFS) between ONED and all hosts you need to
setup public key auth only once for user ‘oneadmin’.

Tino,
I created two images now, (1) disk,vmk and (2) RHEL.vmdk.
I compressed both with tar.gz and imported to OpenNebula using Sunstone.
The (1) is imported with disk, vmdk name and the (2) was imported with
the RHEL.vmdk name.
Both are functional, but when I transfer to the VMWare host they

It was imported with the name ttylinux.vmdk.

Hello,
I am trying to install 4.4 but as far I can see official ubuntu
repositories are stuck at 4.2.
And also there is no ubuntu 13.10 version but I can use 13.04 or 12.04
without problems.
Where can I find updated repo?
Thanks,
