Alan, Your guidance sort of works for me (OO 4.1.7 on Mac OS 10.12.6). If I do not have any document open, the menu selection *File > From Template...* works as expected. But if I have any document open (Writer or Calc), the selection *File > New > Templates and Documents* does nothing—the *Templa

constantly crashing

I have been using open office for years and recently every time I try to do anything the program crashes. Every time. I deleted it from my computer and re installed it several times and it still does it. what is the problem. It tells me it sends in a crash report but nothing ever happens.

I have been trying for 5 hours to download and utilize some of the templates from your site. When they download they just go into my document file. I do not understand how to get them to where the app will open them up in a blank file or on a blank page. Can you tell me where I can find, easy to
