Thanks for all the ideas so far. Unfortunately, I'm still having problems with the page borders. I've unchecked apply border as suggested but the page borders are still above the header box and below the footer box. I can't get them to appear close to the text at all. I'm stumped on what to do.

hi as far as i know, updating data when using spreadsheets as data sources doesn't always work ok. sometimes data will be updated after you close the spreadsheet and the linked document, sometimes you even have to exit OOo to make the fields update. this is supposed to work (better) in OOo 2.0.

Is there a limit to the size of the vector it can lookup? LOOKUP(LEFT(C18;3);A8:A14;D8:D14) This will only lookup in the first four rows specified within the vector. Column A8:A14 is the days of the week (first 3 letters), if C18 is Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu then it will find the correct data in column
