I presume the new software is also responsible for no longer displaying
the digest version by thread? It's ugly and difficult to read non-threaded.

Using OO 3.2 on mint 10 and ubuntu 10.
On my computer (mint 10) if I invoke spell check from
Tools->Spelling and Grammar, the dialogue window appears and is
position approximately above the word that is being targeted as
perhaps misspelled.

If you can provide additional details about operating system being used,
OpenOffice version used and exact wording of any error messages someone will
be able to provide some hints on what is going on.
