Subject: Switching between Impress and PowerPoint
Thanks so much for your help
Thanks so much for your help with my idiotic little problems.
I have installed OO3.2.1 on my Vista desktop that does not have PowerPoint and
also have a laptop that does have the old version of PP. I previously found
that Impress would not embed graphics in a PP so I did the graphics on the

automatically.
It wanted to download it to my desktop; I would have preferred it somewhere
else. I tried to get it to go to something called
users/markhowe/appdata/roaming where I saw other OpenOffice files, but it
didn't.

I have attempted twice to install 3.2.1 and each time, after maybe an hour or 2

I am having problems with columns in Writr. I have everything perfect in
columns, I save it, the thumbnail even looks right; but when I open it, the
cols are kicked down to another page. So I go thru and get them back into
place, but the same thing happens again.

When editing a column of items, occasionally it will try to "help" me by
assuming I want an indented outline using its best guess of what I should want.
By immediately CtlZ ing it I can save it, but it is a nuisance. Is there a
way to change the default.? Same thing with always putting a Cap
I have been told that in order to paste a spreadsheet with column width
included it is necessary to first paste it with format selected and then paste
in the rest. I have never been able to get that to work, either with excel or
calc. Anybody know the trick?

San Juan Capistrano,
I have lost the address for the OO users forum.
I have questions regarding 1. others opening my attachments and 2. reading
calendars in "publisher".
