Isn't an OASIS or OOo 1 document just a few XML files zipped? I suspect that the compression is what takes the most time. I think it's VERY worth the extra load/save times to have a 700 kb ODT rather than a 4 MB DOC file, which is what I get for most documents. Brian Carey wrote: Jim Martin
