So the default setting means that the extension of your files are .sxw
?? If that is the case, then everything should work ok. How about
try these things and reply to list with the outcomes :
1/ right click on a .sxw file and select the application to open as
OpenOffice. Then retry to reopen - d

I am using the old version 1.1 I think. All the files I save are normally
text documents. Should I be using that?
