should all else fail, I will buy the CD, but for now, I think I will

After unpacking the installation folders, the installer quits,
displaying this message:
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if
running Windows in safe mode,
or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your
support personnel for assistance
