I just downloaded the current version of OpenOffice 3.01 for Mac. I am
running OSX 10.5.6 on an iMac. When I try to open a pre-existing
document
(Word .doc) I get the deadly twirling pinwheel with the recurrent alert:
Alert - Couldn't Contact Spell Checker
And the app freezes there. Any

suggestions, but here is an idea I've used in another spreadsheet:
1. In the first sheet, insert a new column to the left of the first
column which I think is actually your State column rather than your City
column.
