Attached is a copy of the document (1), that will not open at all.
The 2nd document, wil open, but without the pictures.
The 3rd document has been modified to a OOo document, and contains all
the
pictures (and added OOo formuleas), that is working fine now, but I am
not
using the
OP did not mention Word Perfect, but Word XP.

The import of Word Perfect documents are not as good as it could
be. What you have discovered is a known problem. It will take some
time before the filter for Word Perfect documents will be good enough
to import pictures as well as text. For now, only text can be
imported.

Any chance you could provide your .doc, so that somebody can see if that
is issue with OO or not?

In the OOo doc do you see a frame showing that there is supposed to be a
pix? If so then open the Word doc clk on the pic to select it and ctrl - C
to copy. Then go to OOo doc clk in the frame and ctrl - V to insert. That
should do it. If that does not work select the Word pic once again and
