Hi Paolo!
Changing CT parameters on-the-fly is possible via ‘vzct’ libvirt driver since
7.0.16.
Change CPU number:
virsh -c vzct:///system setvcpus--config
Memory:
virsh -c vzct:///system setmem --config
Resize disk:
virsh --c vzct:///system blockresize

Hello Kevin,
What was the OpenVz version *before* update to 7.0.14-136?
Sparse files for CTs are here for at least two years.

Konstantin

So what’s wrong?
File consumes only 16G of disk space.
OpenVZ7 uses sparse files for disk images.

Hello Paolo!
We had libvirt driver for CTs some time ago.
Its functionality was not on par with prlctl/vzctl and it was dropped from
provided binary releases.

Hello,
It depends on what exactly do you want.
If you need backup with extended attributes – please ensure that file system on
your destination supports it.
If you don’t like this attribute on the file – please contact Plesk – you get
this RPM there.
Best regards,
Konstantin

Hello,
It seems some files (bash?) are corrupted inside this CT.
Start with 'vzctl mount 7144' and then play with chroot into /vz/root/7144.
Best regards,
Konstantin

Hello Jehan,
Could you provide output from your system for the next command:
yum repolist -v
From your letter it seems that you have only 'Virtuozzo Linux' repositories
configured and none for 'Virtuozzo' (aka OpenVZ).

No, it’s not dropped. Look at ‘man ploop’, look for:
ploop balloon discard [--automount] [--to-free size] [--min-block
min_size] [--defrag] DiskDescriptor.xml

Hi Jake,
As a temporary workaround, please add
PFCACHE_INCLUDES="bin"
At the end of /etc/vz/vz.conf file.
I think
https://src.openvz.org/projects/OVZ/repos/vztt/commits/c54a199c0c1e7f36a2a40848aae08a001f724aa0
is a reason of segfault - constant string is passed to strtok_r there.

Hello,
Just a raw guess - missed '-' in the template name - 'centos-7-x86_64'.
You could always check list of installed OS templates as:
# vzpkg list -O
debian-7.0-x86_64
debian-8.0-x86_64 2015-08-18 13:15:42
centos-7-x86_64
centos-5-x86
centos-6-x86_64
Hi Joe,
You don’t need to download ez-template before caching – vzctl/vzpkg could do
that job. Note also that if your node has an internet access and standard
repositories configured:
vzpkg list –O –available
will display list of available EZ OS templates.
Best regards,
Konstantin
