For test day 3 I've tested DWH installation.
first step, getting info on how to install it:
gone to ovirt.org, followed "Start using oVirt now", there's no clue about
DWH or reports there or a link to what's next basic oVirt engine setup.

It's a way of grouping elements together.
Eg. tag all the product VMs / Hosts
Then filter by these tags
Hey everyone, I've been testing out oVirt 3.4 w/ hosted engine, and
while I've managed to bring the engine up, I've only been able to do it
manually, using "hosted-engine --vm-start".
The ovirt-ha-agent service fails reliably for me, erroring out with
"RequestError: Request failed: success."

Hello,
Can someone point me at a guide or explain to me the purpose of tags? I see
that I can assign them to VMs and users, but don't grasp the purpose.

Hi,
In the third ovirt test day I reviewed the manuals of a various
ovirt tools and commands:
Here are my findings (haven't reported any bugs for them):
The engine-backup and engine-upgrade-check has no man pages,
however help is available by providing the --help argument:

I installed the engine development environment from scratch on:
Fedora 19:
Followed the instructions and in about 30 minutes I was compiling a new engine
which failed the first compile due to a java perm space error, I restarted the
compile and it finished successfully. The box only had 4G of me

FWIW, I've updated an All-in-one host f
I tried ovirt-guest-agent over fedora 19 and 20,
- installed a vm with f19
- yum install ovirt-guest-agent
- started the service
- the information about machine name, ip address, os, ram, user all
appeared after installation
- notification for power off also appears
same for f20
looks ok on bot
Hi everyone,
I believe I need to change my cluster compatibility level and would like to
know if I can do this ona live cluster or if I have to change everything to
maintenance mode first.
I ran engine setup and upgraded to current engine level then tried to add a new
node using the 3.3.4 el6
Hello,
I tested all-in-one and here is what I did.
I installed fresh f19 on a vm running on my f20 (nested virt). During
the installation of ovirt-engine-setup-plugin-allinone rpm I noticed
that yum verification step for vdsm run forever but the second attempt
succeeded. During engine setup iso d
Its not clear if increase is while the VM is running, meaning hot plug cpu

Hi,
I tried to install oVirt Reports during test day 3 with these results:
1) Centos 6.5
- epel and jpackage6 repositories needs to be enabled
- installation and setup worked fine (set everything at default)
- after creating dc and cluster and adding host to engine, reports were able

I am not sure whether this is all-in-one related but I am not able to
open spice console due to: "Unable to connect to the graphic server".
I wanted to check the same from virt-manager and I got: "viewer
connection to hypervisor host got refused or disconnected".

I am testing all-in-one as well and noticed that for local data center
I can only created data domain. Iso and export domains can only be
imported.
Is it by design?
During creation of local data domain it fails with permission error
but it runs successfully second time (I tried twice).

I'll take this as an opportunity to ask some questions:
if and under what circumstances can the "default" DC
be safely removed if you do not use it?
Or can't you delete it, would it break something (what)?
Why is there a "default" DC in the first place?
