I currently have a NFS server with decent speeds. I get about 200MB/s
write and 400+ MB/s read.
My single node oVirt host has a mirrored SSD store for my Windows 10 VM,
and I have about 3-5 VMs running on the NFS data store.
However, VM/s on the NFS datastore are SLOW. They can write to their o

Hi, I setup my 3 host HCI cluster and things are going pretty good. I have a
few issues though...
one of them is that I added two more hosts to the three node cluster to make it
a 5 nodes. This seemed to work fine until I went to create bricks. I have 6
x 2 TB disks for use as JBOD in eac
You have a good point, my mistake. Thanks for your help

Hello,
I have read it several times and it is helpful but unfortunately it doesn't
discuss using multiple drives. In that guide they are just using one drive
(sdb) in each host, my confusion revolves around how to make use of the
second drive I have in each host.
For example if I left all three

Hello,
i migrated a vm from plain kvm to ovirt fc storage domain by creating
an empty disk of the required size and using qemu-img for converting
from the image file to the device.
Worked well.

Callum,
If you are seeing the error when opening the console from VM Portal
(web-ui), this sounds a lot like issue [1]. A patch against the ovirt REST
api was done to help mitigate some errors that should not happen. I'll
take a look to see how it is working in the current master snapshot of

Hello,
I have a windows 7 VM that is composed by a raw disk on filesystem on
Fedora 28.
I would like to transfer this VM to another environment, always based on
same version of Fedora 28, but where the storage is configured in
virt-manager as lvm based, so similar to what happens in oVirt block bas

Hi Gobinda,
When you say "not recommending MDADM", does that apply to just this version 4.3
of oVirt or all versions of oVirt?

I'm deploying three host Ovirt HCI and I'm a bit confused about how to
configure the glusterFS volumes and bricks in the cockpit.
My three hosts are configured the exact same way physically:
2x250GB SSDs in Raid 1 for OS
2 x 2TB SSD in JBOD which I intend to use for Gluster (devices sda and sdb)

I'm experiencing the same issue after upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2.4

Thanks Greg, it really would be great to resolve this and would really like to
not have to clean install the engine on a new hostname (especially without a
guarantee that it will work). Migrating is a significant portion of work.

Wellcome
Dear Greg,
Indeed, always the latest and greatest for us while trying to get this running.
https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/security/squid-reverse-proxy/
And the squid.conf file looks like this:
https_port 443 accel key=/etc/squid/rescomp-vmgw.well.ox.ac.uk.proxy.key
cert=/etc/squid/rescomp
Hi Paul,
I only used the automatic update from oVirt. I'll look through the older post
if I can do something with this information.
Thanks, Sven
