When using a Fedora with Firefox client to access an Ovirt vm, any ideas on
how to avoid having to enter root password for the Fedora client when
utilizing a local usb device via pass-through?

Not getting very good quality playback when watching videos on a vm through
spice console. It works, just very jittery. Have installed client tools
and verified display driver is using the redhat driver. Any other ideas
for improving video performance?

Does the Windows spice client not support usb pass-through? Also, is
extremely slow with IE 8. Any advice on speeding the user or admin console
up in IE8?

Getting this error when I try to configure ldap authentication for Ovirt
with FreeIPA server:
Error: exception message: freeipa.wilk.local.
Failure while testing domain wilk.local. Details: Kerberos error. Please
check log for further details.
Engine-manage-domains.log gives no further details.

So cpu in fact does pass validation? Could my issue be the network

Try changing the network interface type to rtl8139 from the management
console for the vm. I've noticed the Red Hat type does what you are

I've noticed with Fedora 17 that usb devices plugged in after a spice
session is initiated automagically pass-through to the virtual desktop
without manually selecting them but not so with Fedora 18. They pass
through if you manually select them from the drop down bar. Any way to
make 18 work lik

I've had that happen a couple times lately myself. The only way I could
get them to boot was shutdown vms, put host in maintenance, and reboot
server. Then they worked fine..
