I'm using a Sogo server at the latest server, without Openchange. I'm using the
native ActiveSync capabilities to sync my mailbox and my calendar to my mobiles
devices.
But I was using a rather long password (28 caracters) the sync does not work
and keep asking for my password.

I had the same problem. Only way I found is to drop the email account on
iPhone. Then recreate the account and before first access change the setup of
time frame to required value. Then let iPhone to finish initial sync and you
should see all the required emails.
