I used IP::Country::Fast to block everything except canada and usa...
I've only had to add one company to an allow list because they are in Italy...
I don't think its that bad of a solution,
depending on where your companies customers are located..

I'm not sure why this happened by I had to reboot both Sendmail and
MIMEDefang to stop this from happening.. It appeared to show up in my
logs in great numbers...

I'm writing a perl script to train sa.
And I'm wondering how I can get the statics that sa-learn --dump magic
would give me ?
Thanks!
I'm currently using:
my $spam_assassin = Mail::SpamAssassin-new({
site_rules_filename = '/etc/mail/spamassassin/',
dont_copy_prefs = 1
});
Would this be the correct way to initialize SA ?
I have been testing back and forth between my script and sa-learn and it
appears that they are not
Does anyone know actually know where the:
Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::RelayCountry
module is actually ran ?
I dont see anything in /usr/share/spamassassin/* that is doing it...

warn: auto-whitelist: open of auto-whitelist file failed: locker:
safe_lock: cannot create lockfile
/var/spool/MD-Databases/auto-whitelist.mutex: Permission denied
If I delete my databases all together it creates it fine...
But once its created then it keeps
I would think that should be done by the MTA but if you have none
local users and would like to check a ldap database or something
external you could use a filter something like Milter in Sendmail...
Do I need special configurations to query dns black lists ?
Is spam assassin smart enough to not auto-learn (bayesian) spam if the
default tests allready detect it as spam... ? What I'm wondering is
if the other tests have allready deamed it to be spam, then why would
you want to increase the size of your bayesian db... Bayesian I
believe would be
Is this how I send to the list ?
I setup Bayes and whitelist db paths in my local.cf
The whitelist db created succesfully but the bayes_* db's did not...
I didn't even realize my reply's were not being sent to the thread I started...
Sorry!
Ok it looks like using sa-learn created the databases fine even with
only 1 ham/spam...
I think I remember reading that SA Rules can be updated from Official Repos ?
