sa-update errors

2009-07-20 Thread MrGibbage

Thanks, Matt. I call my sa-update in a script from cron. I don't think I have a permissions problem, but I agree, that is what it looks like. Perhaps this will shed a little light. skipmor...@ps11651:~$ id uid=15203(skipmorrow) gid=588771(pg652) groups=588771(pg652)

trusted_networks and internal_networks

I have read the help pages for those two settings over and over, and I guess I'm just not smart enough. I can't figure out what I should put for those two settings. Can one of you give me a hand by looking at the headers from an email? I can tell you that my SA installation is on

Wow, I had a feeling I was opening a can of worms here. This is one area where I really feel the SA documentation could benefit by having some real world examples. Right now I am just going with the one internal_networks set to the ip of my SA server. I'm not setting any trusted_networks. I

Razor2 just won't work... sigh

2009-07-11 Thread MrGibbage
I have been trying to install Razor2 for two days now. I am on a Dreamhost VPS, but I don't have root access, so my perl modules go in ~/share/perl. I have that in my PERL5LIB environment variable. And yet, when I receive an email, I get the following types of messages in my logs: [20377] dbg:

Just a little off topic here, but relevant. When I test SA, I log into a bash shell. I set my environment variables in .bash_profile (loading changes with the 'source' command). Sometimes when testing, I get different results than I do when processing real mail. I think it is because when my

I also just switched web hosts and went with Dream Host, primarily because they do allow you to run your own compiled SA installation (you can of course use theirs if you wish), including bayes, should you chose. You will have to use one of their Private Servers, which does cost a little more,

OK, Now I also get very different results, which seems to be inline with what you two have seen. http://pelorus.org/fourth_pass_log.txt And while there are some small differences between the sub-tests that hit, the overall score is still zero for my installation. So perhaps I just need to

What would cause my SA installation to score a message 0 every once in a while? Last night I received a spam message in my inbox, which is kinda strange since SA is pretty much foolproof for me. Upon further investigation, I found out that the message was scored 0 --not a single hit on any
