I have already combined bin folders.
And yes, I was aware of that. And we are using 64-bit windows. That hasn't
changed.
Prior, the client did not state that they needed the windows service which is
why I had to purge and merge files.

From my experience, no; there should not be an issue with that. Why not just
get rid of the first install if you're not going to use it? Keep your system
clean and less confusing.

installer script and exe's are fairly well removed from the other files
in the bin folder.
Unless you've made specific changes to files that you want to keep, I

Only to the startup.bat script.
The point is to merge and then purge the first installation.
Because the windows service installer did not include the .bat scripts
. The .bat scripts may become useful in the future.
