weil's ja immer funktioniert hat und darf dann monatelang suchen, was
klemmt. Da ist Deine ordentliche Aufräum-Funktion mit Output Buffer und

ich möchte kurz berichten, die Ursache ist gefunden.
Es liegt weder am Firefox noch am Apache, zumindest nicht direkt.
Die betreffenden (php-)Seiten hatten auf halbem Weg einen http redirect
Header Aufruf - und danach noch html Zeilen, die aber durch den
(unbedingten) redirect

das war ja ganz besonders schlau von mir gewesen... man sollte eben
nicht nur die richtige Sprache auswählen, sondern dann auch schalten,
dass man jetzt deutsch schreiben soll. Heftiges Erröten meinerseits :-)
