I got this error when I was trying to use different versions of SVN
simultaneously.
I fixed it by making sure I was always using the same SVN version.
I set Versions to use the SVN 1.5.x client
I also had a 1.4.x client at /usr/bin/svn
Plus a 1.5.x client at /opt/bin/svn
To switch Versions: go

The .subversion directory is : /Users/USERNAME/.subversion (the .
makes it invisible in Finder by default - use the shell to see it)
Mark's tip below about changing the permissions/ownership of the
directory is promising too. I haven't tried the 1.0 release yet, maybe
this bug disap
When I press "New Repository Bookmark" it will not store my
authentication.
When I press "New Working Copy Bookmark" it will.

I've also re-installed, but it didn't reset the bookmarks. They must
be stored elsewhere.. how do I reset everything?
