Hi everyone,
There's a known issue with updating to the new release. Sadly it's
something in Versions 1.0.4 that's causing this, so we can't fix it by
replacing the 1.0.5 download.
If you see this after hitting 'Update':

Just force quit
i had just tried to send feedback about this same thing. problem is,
your feedback form on the website is broken -- got the "server mayhem"
error.

I just tested it and it seems to work fine here. Is it still broken

Just had the same thing happen with my install. A force quit worked
fine.

Yeah, it's exactly that same issue.
Regarding which transactions Versions was waiting for: my guess is
that those were background transactions to update the badges in the
Bookmarks list.
We investigate this issue a bit more so hopefully we'll all see that
"Waiting for transactions to finish..."
